Lacey Wehr: A Sunday Morning Call That Exemplifies “Bleed Bazooka”

January 30, 2026

Q4 Gamechanger Award Winner Shows What It Means to Work Hard and Own It

When Lacey Wehr’s phone rang on a Sunday morning, she didn’t hesitate. An operations team member needed help tracking down parts for a critical repair, and Lacey, a CAD Designer at Bazooka Farmstar, jumped right in. Within moments, she had located the information and gotten it to the team so they could complete the repair.

For Lacey, this kind of responsiveness isn’t extraordinary—it’s just how she works. But for the award committee, it was one of countless examples that made her the clear choice for the Q4 Bleed Bazooka Gamechanger award.

“We work hard and own it. It’s a pride thing,” the Bleed Bazooka value states. And according to her nominator and the award committee, Lacey embodies this value every single day. “You can go to Lacey, and she quickly produces results,” the committee noted. “True testament to working hard, and she owns any request she is given to produce quality results timely.”

Eight Years of Excellence

Lacey has been with Bazooka Farmstar for eight years, originally drawn to the company because it was closer to home and her children’s schools. “I wanted to be more involved with their activities,” she explains. What keeps her here? “The work, which is fast-paced, and also the co-workers.”

As a CAD Designer and the go-to expert for Creo software, Lacey has built a reputation for reliability, attention to detail, and passion for her work. “I love my work and pay attention to the details, especially small details,” she says. “I also get along with everyone.”

When asked how she felt about receiving the award, Lacey’s response was characteristically humble: “Honestly, shy. Appreciated to have received it for the first time.”

Advice for Future Winners

For those aspiring to win the Bleed Bazooka award themselves, Lacey offers straightforward wisdom: “Being here and don’t be afraid to ask when you don’t know or doesn’t seem right. Respect your coworker. Become an expert in the work you are doing.”

She also emphasizes what makes Bazooka Farmstar a special place to work. “Awesome coworkers,” she says without hesitation. “I enjoy the flexibility that I can have the work/life balance.”

Life Beyond the CAD Screen

Outside of work, you’ll find Lacey fully immersed in her role as a dance mom, doing hair and makeup to get her kids ready for performances. Family time often means board games around the table, and Lacey is currently expanding her creative pursuits by learning to sew, adding to her existing crochet skills.

This year marks a new adventure for the

Wehr family as they dive into 4-H for the first time. When given the opportunity to select a not-for-profit to receive a donation in her honor, Lacey chose Green Acres 4-H, the club her children recently joined. “I wanted to support the club that they are in,” she says. “Excited to learn more about it since I wasn’t involved myself as a child.”

A Culture of Ownership

Lacey Wehr’s story illustrates what happens when talent meets dedication and a company culture that values both hard work and work-life balance. Her willingness to answer that Sunday morning call wasn’t about going above and beyond—it was about taking pride in her work and owning every challenge that comes her way.

That’s what Bleed Bazooka is all about. And that’s why Lacey Wehr is our Q4 Gamechanger.

Congratulations, Lacey, on this well-deserved recognition!
