Jake Magdefrau Exemplifies the Bazooka Way

Bazooka Farmstar recently recognized painter Jake Magdefrau with the Bleed Bazooka Gamechanger award for embodying the company’s core values of working hard and taking pride in his work.
Jake has worked at Bazooka for over a year now, in addition to working there for two years previously. When asked how he felt about winning the award, Jake said he was “shocked and really surprised to hear my name called. It feels good to know my hard work was recognized.”
And Jake’s hard work is certainly deserving of recognition. As one of his nominators shared, when there was a hot product making its way through production, and Jake was asked to stay late, he exemplified the Bleed Bazooka mentality by staying until 9 PM to push the item through. This dedication set up the rest of the team for success in meeting a tight customer deadline. As the nominator stated, “Without his help and dedication, we would not have been able to deliver the goods on time.”
This late-night effort, resulting in a 16-hour day for Jake, is just one example of his commitment to Bazooka. As the selection committee discussed, Jake consistently shows up, works hard, and takes pride in his work. With a major focus over the past year on improving paint quality, Jake has truly owned his role and bleeds Bazooka red.
What brought Jake to Bazooka and has kept him here is the great team of people and positive working atmosphere. Outside of work, Jake enjoys hiking, walking his 4-year-old yellow lab Behr, and riding BMX bikes. He also has a 12-year-old daughter who plays softball, so they practice together, and Jake attends her games.
Jake is dedicating his NOT-FOR-PROFIT $100 donation to Paws and More of Washington because of his love of animals and knowing there are so many that are in need. And that care and dedication is what Jake brings to work each day. He exemplifies the Bazooka Farmstar way of working hard and taking pride in everything you do.
