Bigger Than Our Work: Jason Albright Honored as a Community Gamechanger

At Bazooka Farmstar, we believe in being “Bigger Than Us” – that we are more than just the work we do and that making time for family and community is vitally important. The first quarter recipient of our Bigger Than Us Gamechanger award exemplifies that value. Jason Albright, a design engineer who has been with Bazooka Farmstar for seven years, was recently honored for his exceptional commitment to serving his local church and neighborhood.
Jason originally came to Bazooka after the closing of his previous employer, Modine Manufacturing, and was drawn to the unique agricultural equipment being manufactured right next door. What keeps him at Bazooka all these years later is the variety of work, being able to follow projects from concept to delivery, and the team environment. However, Jason’s impact goes far beyond his technical roles.
Outside work, Jason is an active volunteer and deacon at his church, regularly giving up nights and weekends for maintenance, repairs, and service projects. One story that stood out was when the church basement flooded; Jason dropped everything to begin cleaning. His selfless dedication recently led to him being elected as head deacon.
When awarded the Bigger Than Us Gamechanger honor, Jason expressed surprise and gratitude: “I was honored. I enjoy the work at the church and feel it’s important.” His advice to others who want to earn this recognition is simple: “Find what you enjoy and what you are passionate about, then look for groups and organizations where you can help out behind the scenes to give back.”
In addition to the award itself, Jason chose WCDC to receive the $100 not-for-profit donation. An organization that helps match individuals with employment opportunities aligning with their desired independent lifestyles. “I like the work they do to promote and support individual independence in life choices,” Jason explained.
When he’s not at Bazooka Farmstar, Jason enjoys working on his farm and doing shop projects like welding and machining.
