Storz Couplings are made of heavy-duty aluminum with three segmented bindings. Couplings feature high strength forged heads and aluminum locks to exceed NFPA 1963 lock shear test of 300 lbs. Three segmented bindings feature steel on steel bolt and nut design to avoid stripping aluminum threads when tightening. Couplings are field-repairable with an Allen wrench.
